We have gone through and removed quite a few of the missing sites from the webring as well as a few that didn't have their webring code up (and hadn't for quite some time). We still have quite a few issues to resolve at the webring and we're not sure how to best approach them. But stay tuned for the latest...

I have emailed quite a few sites in regards to their code and very few add the code to their site or remember to put it back on when they revamp their site.

So soon, we will be going through the sites and simply removing all sites not displaying the code. This may seem harsh to some, but it's the fairest thing for those actively supporting the DEW.

The latest Skinbase skinning competition is here and this one is free and easy! To enter the competition, you are required to create skins for PKMenu, PKVolume and/or SyncTime. All of these applications are Freeware and easy to skin. Make sure you download the latest version of PKMenu too. It has animations now!

D.E.W. has now hit 60 member sites! Thanks to all the members who have joined and helped create a cool and easy to navigate Desktop Enhancing community.

Desktop Enhancement Webring Policy

This webring has been created so that website creators can be a part of an online 'Desktop Enhancing' community. You are welcome to join this community if your website relates to the following (or similar) subjects:

  • Skinning.
  • Wallpaper creation.
  • Shell Theme creation.
  • Skinnable Software Creation.
  • Other forms of online art.

If your website does NOT fall into a category (or even sound remotely similar), then this is more than likely not the webring for you.

The administrators of the webring take no responsibility for the content of the webring member's sites, as the content for these sites is not under their control. If you find a website in the webring that you do find offensive, please feel free to contact an administrator using one of the emails at the base of the site. The webring code that is supplied to you upon joining the webring is yours to do with as you please as long as you follow these simple rules:

  • Keep the actual website links as they appear when sent to you.
  • Do not use any offensive graphics or text to link to the webring with.
  • Do not disguise the links as something else (aka blind links) in order to get higher hits on the statistics page. This is not a competition.

Apart from that, the code is 'skinnable' :) Enjoy the webring and welcome to your own online community, where you now have neighbours either side of you :)
